This course is designed to prepare candidates for the requirements of IRATA and/or SPRAT certification. The following documents outline the requirements:

Course material is delivered through multi-media presentations, written material and an emphasis on hands-on training. All candidates must successfully complete a written test and practical evaluation. This course is open to all levels of certification. Check prerequisites to see if you qualify. 

 

Course Schedule

Day 1-4: Course Instruction and Practice

Day 5: IRATA Assessment and SPRAT Evaluation 

Prerequisites

IRATA & SPRAT Level 1 - be at least 18 years of age. No previous experience is necessary, however an appropriate physical and mental aptitude for technical tasks while working at height is important. Participants will be asked to perform moderate to strenuous activities. A physical examination by a doctor is strongly recommended. 

IRATA Level 2 - at least 1,000 hours of documented experience and 12 months at IRATA Level 1

IRATA Level 3 - at least 1,000 hours of documented experience and 12 months at IRATA Level 2

SPRAT Level 2 - at least 500 hours of documented experience and 6 months at SPRAT Level 1

SPRAT Level 3 - at least 500 hours of documented experience and 6 months at SPRAT Level 2
